The Festival

Some weeks change how you move.

Three training tracks — beginner, intermediate, advanced — every session built for your level. Never held a handstand before? You belong here. Already working one-arm? So do you. This is a handstand retreat in Mexico unlike anything else on the calendar — a full-production festival, not a workshop bolted onto a yoga holiday.

Different teachers. Different approaches. Masterclasses in flexibility, physical prep, and the technical detail that actually moves the needle. Open workshops in flow, creativity, and isolated skills fill the gaps.

Mornings start in the Buddha Hall — meditation, then movement, then work. Afternoons breathe out. Thai massage, restorative sessions, the pool. Some days push harder. A body looked after trains better.

Temazcal ceremony with local shamans. Performance nights under the jungle canopy. A 572m² pool threading through orchids and wild palms. Five days with nowhere else to be.

Riviera Maya, at Ozen.

Beginner
The foundations and fundamentals. Theory, practice, alignment, and balance techniques — a full spectrum from the ground up.
Intermediate
Take your practice further. Refine what you have, deepen your understanding, and break through the next plateau.
Advanced
One-arms, presses, figas, flags, hops — the full range of advanced technique, pushed as far as you want to go.
A Day at Jungle Fiesta

Nothing to organise. Nowhere else to be.

6:30
Morning meditation
Buddha Hall. Stillness before the work begins.
8:00
Training session
Your track. Your level. Proper warm-up, technique, and time to train.
10:30
Brunch
Freshly cooked, in the open-air dining hall.
12:00
Masterclass
Flexibility, physical prep, or creative work — each day a different lens.
2:00
The afternoon is yours
Open skills lab. Thai massage. The pool. Or just the hammock.
4:30
Afternoon session
Open level workshop — creativity, flow, something you wouldn't normally try.
7:00
Dinner
Three courses. Good conversation. The jungle at dusk.
9:00
Performance night
Open stage. Circus acts. Social. Some nights end late — that's fine too.

Not every day runs exactly like this — some days push harder, some breathe out. This is the shape of it.

Getting There

Easy to get to. Hard to leave.

Ozen Resort is less than an hour from Cancún International Airport (CUN). We'll coordinate shared shuttles directly to the venue — most people arrive together, and it starts there.

Coming from Playa del Carmen? It's 15 minutes by taxi. Share your flight details when you book and we'll handle the rest.

FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Not at all. Jungle Fiesta runs three parallel training tracks — beginner, intermediate, and advanced — so every session is built for where you actually are. Complete beginners are genuinely welcome. You don't need a freestanding handstand to come; you just need to want to learn.
Yes. The beginner track starts from scratch — wall holds, wrist prep, core stability, overcoming the fear of falling. The teachers have worked with complete beginners many times. You'll leave with a real foundation and the tools to keep going at home.
Most days: meditation and yoga at 6am, breakfast, then a two-hour handstand workshop in the morning. Afternoons have open training, massage, or recovery. A second workshop runs in the late afternoon, then dinner and an evening event — performance night, Temazcal, or the closing fiesta. See the full day-by-day timetable above — tap "Timetable" in the nav or jump straight to it.
Seven handstand workshops across the week, each two hours long, plus daily yoga and meditation, multiple masterclasses, and open training sessions. The Gala performance on Day 4 and the closing Open Stage on Day 5 are evening highlights. It's a full week — not a retreat with a few classes sprinkled in.
Fly into Cancún International Airport (CUN) — direct flights from most of Europe, the US, and Latin America. Ozen Resort is about 45–60 minutes south by road. We'll organise shared shuttles from the airport on arrival day (Friday 12 March) and departure (Wednesday 17 March). Share your flight details after booking and we'll coordinate everything.
Yes — five nights in a shared jungle cabin at Ozen Resort is included. The shared option pairs you with one other attendee (twin beds, private bathroom). Private studio upgrade is an additional $100. Both are on-site, steps from the training spaces.
Three meals a day — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — freshly cooked and served in the open-air dining hall. Afternoon snacks are served between sessions too. You won't need to think about food for the week.
Most people do. Handstand events draw a specific kind of person — curious, committed, and easy to be around. The shared training, communal meals, and evening events mean you'll know people by the end of Day 1. By Day 3 it feels like you've known each other for months.
A Temazcal is a traditional Mesoamerican sweat lodge ceremony, led by local shamans. It's a purification ritual using steam, medicinal plants, and chanting — a deeply physical and often moving experience. It happens on Day 3 evening. Participation is optional, but most people find it one of the most memorable parts of the week.
Training clothes for warm weather — it's Mexico in March, expect 28–32°C. Wrist supports if you use them. Swimwear for the pool. Light layers for evenings. Sunscreen. A yoga mat if you have one, though mats are available on-site. You'll get a full packing list after booking.
More than 90 days before (before 12 Dec 2026): full refund, no questions asked.

30–90 days before (12 Dec 2026 – 10 Feb 2027): 50% refund. The remaining 50% covers costs already committed on your behalf.

Under 30 days before (after 10 Feb 2027): no refund, but your spot is fully transferable — find someone to take your place and we'll sort the name change. Get in touch and we'll make it as easy as possible.
